The Yummiest, Easiest, Most Addicting Candy you will ever make!

Remember these?

Nowadays you may find them in a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store or other establishment that sells "vintage candies". These lovely little cups are like your traditional peanut butter cups, except they are coated with a smooth butterscotch coating instead of your ordinary chocolate coating. Little pieces of Heaven, I tell ya!

Well, I have a recipe for something that tastes almost exactly like these little treasures. My sister-in-law passed along this recipe to me, not sure where/whom she obtained it from. It is so super easy I almost cannot believe how easy these are to make. Here is the recipe:

Butterscotch Peanut Butter Cups ("Heavenly Treasures")

1 bag butterscotch chips
1 bag white chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
Muffin cups (mini or regular size)
Muffin tin (mini or regular size)

Place muffin cups in muffin tins. Pour butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, and peanut butter into microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for one minute (or less), stir, repeat until all morsels have melted and you have a smooth consistency. Pour into mini or regular muffin cups (can make as thick or thin as you want them) and refrigerate until firm. Makes 24 regular muffin cups, about 1/3 full. Enjoy your little "Heavenly Treasures". :)

*These would be perfect for gift giving!! Super easy and super delicious!!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day. A time to remember those who lost their lives so that we may have freedom. A time to reflect on our country and what it stands for. A time to pay respects and honor by adorning stones with those beautiful colors of red, white, and blue. Memorial Day is a very special day. Praying today for all of the families who have lost loved ones so that I may have freedom..so that my husband and two precious boys may have freedom...so that America may have freedom.

In honor of those who have served or are still serving, our family is making this cake to show our appreciation for you and for our country. Thank you!!

Strawberry Poke Cake (Flag Cake)
1 white cake mix (Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on box)
1 box small box strawberry-flavored gelatin
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Fresh strawberries

Fresh Blueberries

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Make cake as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan. Let cool completely.

Pierce cooled cake all over with fork. In small bowl, stir gelatin and boiling water until smooth; stir in cold water. Pour over cake. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Frost with whipped topping. Garnish with strawberries (halved) and blueberries as shown to make a flag design. Store covered in refrigerator.
